Haverhill Intermodal Center

The street facades of historic downtown Haverhill have a remarkable integrity and uniformity – characterized by the industrial aesthetics of two distinct eras – predominant brick surfaces are evenly patterned with window openings of common proportions. The architecture of the intermodal garage draws from these attributes.

The garage is backdrop to a new bridge and stairtower connection between the elevated railroad station and street level activity of commercial uses and emerging mixed-use neighborhoods housed in former industrial complexes.
