Charles River Museum of Industry

The project scope includes the development of a master plan that aligns the Museum’s mission and visitor experience.

The Museum is re-imagining itself around the concept of innovation. The master plan will focus the museum’s interpretive mission to increase visitorship, enhance the museum experience and modify the historic boiler house space – home to the museum – to better serve staff and visitors.

The boiler house is a part of the landmark complex on the National Register of Historic Places as America’s first integrated textile mill – the mill itself a revolutionary industrial innovation in America’s history.
