Albany Airport Terminal
Terminal Renovation

Albany International Airport (ALB) plays a pivotal role in meeting the aviation needs of Central-Eastern New York and the greater Albany County region. With the mission to create a seamless and user-friendly experience, the Albany County Airport Authority is committed to enhancing every aspect of the passenger experience, from the parking garage and terminal entrance to aircraft boarding and passenger pick-up.

The Concourse A Rehabilitation Project is a key component of this vision, designed to reimagine the connection between Concourse A and the rest of the terminal. Major infrastructure upgrades will replace outdated systems, improve energy efficiency, and enhance passenger flow and accessibility. Additionally, the project includes the construction of two new gates and boarding bridges, enabling Albany International Airport to accommodate new routes and airlines, expanding its service capabilities.

In recognition of the critical importance of this airport, this project was made possible thanks to $10.6 million in competitive federal funding awarded through the Airport Terminal Program, established by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Investment & Jobs Law. U.S. Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer and U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand were instrumental in securing this funding, administered by the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
