Deborah Fennick AIA LEED AP

Deborah Fennick is cofounder and design principal of Fennick McCredie Architecture, she provides design leadership on all of the project types serviced by the firm, with an emphasis on human-centered architecture that is unique to each project’s specific needs and context.

Before founding FM, Deborah was the Director of Boston Architecture and Airport Architecture at TAMS Consultants where she began a distinguished career in the design of distinctive aviation projects throughout the United States – earning award recognition for over a dozen local and national awards for excellence, including her work at Martha’s Vineyard Airport, and Logan International Airport. Building on her leadership experience at a large, national firm and guided by the belief that great architecture is derived from a context defined by the many diverse people who will ultimately use and engage in a space, Deborah was moved to start a new type of firm, where client-centric architecture can benefit from a hands-on process that is collaborative and personal.

Deborah has been committed to expanding FM into a wide range of project types that include transit, higher-education, mission-driven organizations, and workplace projects. She also advocates for sustainable design practices, and supports equity in architecture through mentorship programs that include the YouthBuild Boston, and the Science Club for Girls in Cambridge, to encourage the next generation of designers.

Deborah holds a Masters in Architecture degree from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, with a Letter of Commendation, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from Lehigh University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude.
