Ogdensburg Airport Awarded Project of the Year
The recently completed terminal and runway expansion at Ogdensburg International Airport has been named the Phil Brito Memorial Project of the Year by the New York Aviation Management Association (NYAMA). The airport terminal building renovation and expansion, which was designed by Fennick McCredie as a sub-consultant to MacFarland Johnson, includes a new departure lounge, TSA security screen checkpoint, checked bag inspection system, and new baggage claim area and carousel.
Chad Nixon, of MacFarland Johnson, noted: “This is a project that everyone involved can be proud of. [McFarland Johnson] and our partner Fennick McCredie Architecture worked closely with the airport and the OBPA to develop a terminal that fit the needs of the north country, including a beautiful, efficient and fully functional space that welcomes visitors to the Thousand Islands region.”
