The South Boston Waterfront Transportation Center reached a celebratory construction milestone on Friday with the completion of the erection of precast concrete. Over one hundred spectators including the Fennick I McCredie design team, Massport, Skanska, South Boston area elected officials, and multiple construction trade Unions, looked on as the last precast concrete piece was hoisted and secured atop the 500,000 SF transportation center.

Located between World Trade Center Avenue and D Street just north of the Boston Convention Center, the Transportation Center will provide a user experience that is integrated into the urban fabric of the South Boston Waterfront District, contributing public amenities to the neighborhood that support the wide-range of transportation modes utilized by Boston residents, workers and visitors.
