Governor Cuomo announces FMA’s Elmira Corning Regional Airport improvement plans


On September 21st Governor Cuomo enthusiastically announced that Fennick McCredie Architecture’s design for the new Elmira Regional Airport won a Statewide design competition and would be receiving a $40 million award. Governor Cuomo referred to FMA’s design as “bold” and displayed a real “vision” for ‘the airport of the future.” Conceptualized in partnership with McFarland Johnson, Chemung County officials, Elmira-Corning Regional Airport, and former Airport Manager Ann Crook, the project is expected to begin construction in 2017.
