FMA team gets shortlisted for ChiDesign competition!

Last month a team from FMA entered ChiDesign, an open international ideas competition sponsored by the Chicago Architecture Foundation (CAF) as part of the Chicago Architecture Biennial! Participants were asked to envision a Center for Architecture, Design, and Education – bringing multiple educational partners under one roof. Our team worked ardently to conceptualize a building that could support not only sustainable educational systems but that would also address the global issue of drought through an innovative water-capturing and reuse system.

We were delighted to learn that our submission, Hydro-Loop: The New Chicago Water Tower, was shortlisted out of over 100 entries from around the world! Congratulations to our team: Ashley Weber, Trevor Gotfredson, Federico Soriano, Inhwan Choi, Breanna Reboca, Aki Yoshida, Matt Bermon, Tala AlKekhia, and Deborah Fennick.

Check out the team’s submission!
