Fennick McCredie collaborated with the YWCA of Central Massachusetts to design renovations that support their vision to be an all-inclusive women’s advocacy and resource center with a pro-active membership serving the diverse needs of women through leadership, service and support. The YW branch in Worcester offers programs ranging from a childcare center, to transitional housing, to community and women’s programs, as well as health and wellness facilities such as a gymnasium, pool, and fitness rooms.

As the largest network of domestic violence service providers in the country, the YW in Worcester offers SROs (single room occupancy) as transitional housing for women. The program includes twenty-seven bedrooms, communal bathrooms and kitchen area, and a laundry room.
