Charles River Conservancy Bike Path
The Charles River Conservancy has been advocating for pedestrian/bicycle underpasses to be included in the Anderson Memorial, Western Avenue, and River Street Bridges to enhance public access throughout the parklands. FMA developed conceptual designs and renderings for the underpasses as part of the Conservancy effort to build coalition of supporters for its vision of a 7-mile uninterrupted, car-free corridor along the Charles River from downtown Boston all the way to Watertown.
As the result, the Conservancy has secured commitment from the MassDOT secretary Davey to support the design and permitting of an underpass in the Anderson Memorial bridge, more information about the underpass can be found on the Charles River Conservancy website.
