Architectural Record features Elmira-Corning Airport Revitalization in “Airports of the Future” issue
Airports of the Future
The new Elmira-Corning Airport Revitalization has been featured in the July issue of Architectural Record. Titled “Airports of the Future“, the issue examines innovative design solutions addressing the challenges of modern air travel such as increased flight and passenger demand as well as strict security requirements, both of which contribute to an often harried, stressful passenger experience.
We are thrilled that the new ELM terminal has been recognized as an airport of the future for its emphasis on improving the passenger experience. The new terminal orients around a 18,700 SF garden, transforming one of the most stress-inducing aspect of flying, navigating the security checkpoint, into a “walk through the woods” that immerses travelers in a showcase of local flora.
